BUNKER ASIA 2009 FORUM
Wednesday 4 November 2009

About this event
The inaugural Bunker Asia 2009 is going to be a new, exclusive gathering of experts and major players from the bunker, shipping and financial markets debating issues crucial to the industry. What is the shape of the industry now after last year's global economic meltdown? Gain deep insight into the world's largest bunkering port, Singapore. Identify opportunities and developments elsewhere in emerging Asian markets. What will the global bunker industry look like beyond 2010? What and where is your place in it? Come to Bunker Asia 2009 to network, participate and debate, because what the experts say, and what you say, matters.

Session 1: What are the key issues in the bunker market today?
Following upheavals in the world economy and a collapse in world trade, where does the bunker industry now find itself? How deeply has the cost of bunkers in recent months eaten into the earnings of ship owners suffering record low freight rates?

Session 2: Developments within the world's largest bunkering port – Singapore
What are the key issues affecting the bunker industry in Singapore? Where is it headed and is there more room for expansion? Will market infrastructure become a stifling factor? Will the number of suppliers in Singapore grow or consolidate?

Session 3: Asia's emerging bunker markets
Gain deep insight into the business models of suppliers operating in Asia’s emerging economies, and explore supply/demand fundamentals for those markets going forward. Will these emerging markets see more mergers, fragmentation or more players? How can suppliers, traders and tanker operators collaborate to advance their market share?

Session 4: Bunker markets in 2010-2015
What is the outlook for you as a bunker buyer or seller? What new developments or constraints will potentially change the entire face of your operations? How will global fuel supply and demand, and oil prices impact the shipping industry and in turn the bunker markets? How can stakeholders survive or thrive under such circumstances?
